My name is Loyla Louvis!
I am a parenting expert, certified with the American Association of Christian Counselors.
And I am a mother of four.
I've been in private practice for over 10 years, serving as a mentor mom for MOPS International, an advocate for customized home education, and a Columnist for Mother Matters...
But most importantly, I'm a wife of 27 yrs., and a homeschooling mama to my four grown kids, 34, 25, 23, and 21 yrs old.
I made alllll the mistakes I promised I'd never make when I became a parent, and quickly found myself as a single mom living in a shelter for battered women.
I was desperate to find answers for myself (and for future generations!). I kept looking for a mentor, a role model, someone to empower me as a mom without taking away my authority.
I never found that person.... but the day came when I realized it was my turn to step up and BE that someone.
